
Warren Stapley
DEI and Responsible Business Specialist, Disability Rights Advocate
Warren Stapley (he/they) is a diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) and responsible business specialist at Montagu Evans, a London-headquartered planning and development consultancy supporting its clients to create inspiring places to live, work, communicate and connect. Being severely hearing impaired since birth, Warren is reliant on lip- reading and hearing aids for everyday communication. Warren holds a scholarship and Law Degree from Oxford University, is a senior solicitor, a Mental Health First Aider and a member of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability. Warren maintains a keen interest in how disability is managed (or not) in demanding work environments, and is currently a Trustee for Disability Action in Islington, supporting disabled people and parents/carers of disabled children living, working or studying in London. Also being bisexual and gender non-conforming, Warren has lived experience of the intersectional inequities affecting disabled people and recently became a Director of Freehold LGBT+, the leading LGBTQ+ networking and support forum for LGBTQ+ real estate professionals working within the property sector. Prior to his dedicated roles in DEI, Warren was a senior corporate finance solicitor, having qualified in 2013 – and maintains a pro bono practice focused on anti-discrimination and Equality Act 2010 claims, alongside his inclusion work.
