BBC Strategic Disability Lead - Disability Workforce Leader

Robbie is Strategic Disability Lead at the BBC. A lifelong disabled person, Robbie is a disability workforce specialist with a successful, proven track record in delivering positive change for disabled people in large organisations. He is a passionate advocate of the Social Model of Disability and before joining the BBC worked for disabled people’s organisations, an accessible tall ship sailing charity, in the NHS, and for the Scottish Government. Robbie has spoken internationally at the United Nations office in Geneva on disability equality and, for 6 years until 2022, was Chair of Trustees for the national children’s charity MACS. Robbie lives in Glasgow with his wife Caitlin and guide dog, Yogi.
