
Dan Pearce
Senior Accessibility Mentor, Great Western Railways
Dan Pearce has worked for Great Western Railway since 2014. Currently he is working as the Senior Accessibility Mentor, within with wider accessibility team. His work covers a wide range of areas from policy and process changes to help people with disabilities travel day to day, to consulting on physical changes and new train station design to ensure everyone can access the railway. His role as a mentor extends to helping build confidence in travelling by train for people in the disabled community. This is done through Travel Training and Try a Train events, taking place in classrooms and community centres, at train stations and on trains. Previously working in GWR’s Learning and Development team, where he delivered Disability and Equality awareness training, he has a real passion to help everyone access the railway.
