The People Behind Disability Expo
Event Director & Co-Founder
Jade has worked within the disability sector for 13 years and has been dubbed a “product guru” by a multitude of health professionals & business clients. This is shown through her extensive industry knowledge when it comes to product & service advisory and creating solutions that are both affordable and suitable to a person’s individual needs. Jade has a passion for promoting inclusion and advocates the importance of delivering a personalised approach to care, advice and equipment provision. “One size doesn’t fit all!”
Jade also lives with neurodiversity and physical limitations as she has fibromyalgia, ADHD, Dyslexia and Dyspraxia. Having an understanding of disability both professionally and personally helps derive her passion to deliver inclusive events, company branding and services that will raise awareness, improve inclusion and increase independence through better accessibility for others with lived experience of disability.

With over 30 years’ experience within the Events and Exhibition industry, Kerry has accumulated a vast amount of knowledge in event organizing, floor plan layouts and large format print. She has worked with some very large blue-chip companies on design built/bespoke stands in the UK and worldwide along with modular display units, OOH (Out of Home) POS (point of sale) and front of house advertising.
Her personal experience of disability and being immobile was after an accident in San Diego where she had to learn to walk again.
Kerry does not Just love a holiday, but an adventure visiting places like Honduras, Guatemala, Columbia, Costa Rica, India where she will then try her hand at river tubing, Helmet diving, snorkeling and much more.
Kerry’s profile would not be complete if we did not mention her love for cats – especially her fur baby Reggie.
Sales / Event Manager
Karen previously worked for several years delivering disabled facilities grant programs, she is aware of how home improvements, services, equipment etc can impact a person. For the last 5 years she has been involved with Occupational Therapy exhibitions, so remaining in the field of disability means she has made many contacts in the industry through these events.
Karen’s personal experience of disability is through her son Iolo, who has a number of health conditions that can be debilitating to his daily life, so she can appreciate how difficult finding services and help can be at times.
Karen is married and has 3 children and 3 badly behaved cats! She loves long baths, weekends away and finding new places to explore with her family and friends.
Kat oversees the Marketing and visual identity of Disability Expo, from our branding to the everyday content on our website and social channels. She is enjoying the challenge of learning to communicate in the most accessible and inclusive way possible, through her designs.
Her previous role at Age UK gave her experience in understanding the varied challenges faced by older people, in her community and as a whole. Both her professional and personal experiences with disability mean she always approaches her work with empathy and understanding.
